Naugatuck State Forest, East Block
A nice color map is available from the Connecticut State Parks and Forests website. There are miles of forested trails that are clearly marked. Old stone walls abound bringing you back to an earlier time when farming was more common in the state. Unfortunately, the two lookouts closest to Route 8 are completely obscured by trees. The one farthest to the east is still viewable due to rockiness and steep east and south slopes.
